| High Precision Tax Mapping Project – Jasper, Texas |
|
| The City of Jasper contracted with Metro Planning to re-map Jasper’s existing tax maps in order to resolve inaccuracies. Metro Planning performed precision mapping using coordinate geometry (COGO) to re-map approximately 5500 tax parcels. Metro Planning created a multi-level metadata solution that included a unique system to extract feature level metadata associated with each tax parcel. The overall intent of this project was to build the client’s confidence in working with maps, facilitate further improvement, and enable the city to interpret the accuracy and potential error of each tax lot. |
